Art inspired by nature
Around the start of the millennium I was involved in conservation protests to challenge logging in old growth forests. I created a number of land-based artworks
In logging coupes detained for wood chips I created ephemeral works alongside other artists as a means to highlighting the value of natural forest eco-systems.
I discovered how much the public loved seeing art in a natural environment, in an experience that was outside the box of a traditional art gallery. This became the inspiration for me to develop the Understory Art & Nature Trail.
